A study trying to understand the reasons why people can know there is a problem with the way we live our lives but not take the action necessary to change anything has just published a report: Natural Change: Psychology and Sustainability.
The Natural Change Project was developed by WWF Scotland in response to this, and drew together leading thinkers from a variety of fields over an 18 month period. Do we have to accept that changing personal and social behaviours is a slow process? What can we do to increase the rate and depth of changes that we know should be made?
For more on the project and copies of the report see the Natural Change website.
