Transport

Transport is another area where we can lower CO2 emissions, and also lower dangerous pollutants like PM10's, etc, which can effect our health.

What can i do?

  • Leave the car at home and cycle, walk or take the bus or train
  • Walk or Cycle all short journeys - Try out - http://linlithgow.cyclestreets.net/
  • Share a car journey with someone else - see West Lothian Tripshare link below
  • Holiday in the UK and fly less - not only will you be lowering emissions (especially those released at high altitude) but you will also help to boost the local tourism industry and the related jobs and income.
  • If you have to drive, drive efficiently. ECO Driving Tips [link to go here]
  • If you replace your car, choose one that is very fuel efficient and clean.

Plan your Journeys and compare modes of transport. The bus or train might be a better option.

If you fancy a folding bike for work then check out. http://www.brompton.co.uk/ - Made in the UK.
