Food: The Big Bake 5th July

AlyBee — Wed, 01/07/2009 - 8:54am

http://www.loavesoflove.co.uk/

Welcome to Loaves of Love – inspiring people to bake and be!

The idea is simple: to inspire people to host baking circles in their homes with friends, old and new. Everyone who comes along, and learns to bake, then passes the skill on by hosting a circle of their own within a month, and in this way we get the whole nation baking.

The ‘official launch’ will be on July 5 – ‘The Big Bake’ – but of course you can start a baking circle at any time. Just remember to go to the Bake and be Counted page to tell us you have taken part so we can chart the rise and rise of baking circles.

How to bake a loaf of love:

Ingredients:
A few friends
A Friendly Stranger
Flour, water, yeast and salt
Oven

Mix with:
Stories, laughter and inspiration

Time:
One long lazy afternoon

Remember:
To pass the skills and – the love – on and on and on…
